New Season, New Rams?

Now that the preseason is over, the real games begin.
The St. Louis Rams showed some new faces during the preseason games. A new coach, new manager, and new players on offense and defense will be joining the Rams very large family. They won three out of four of the preseason games, but how good they are cannot be determined until the regular season games begin.
Last year was dismal and disappointing for the Rams. A record of two wins and 14 loses. It was the worst record since they moved to St. Louis. Fans were frustrated and angry and stopped going to games. Some games where not even televised because they were not sold out.
Freshman and Rams fan Adam Belsky said, “I think the Rams will go six and ten this year.” Also, “ The new players are okay but they could be better.” Belsky sees some improvement for this year Rams.
Ben Hillman, a CHS graduate about to start at Denver University said, “The Rams broke my heart last year. They can’t do much worse this year.” He is hoping like the rest of us to see a better season.
Sports Illustrated predicts the Rams will finish last in their division and will not make the playoffs. Although Sports Illustrated says the Rams are improving Sports Illustrated also says the Ram’s have a long way to go.
The Rams hired New Your Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo after an intense search for their next head coach. He signed a four-year deal and will hopefully help the Rams.
Three key new players who have began to show progress for the Rams are Kyle Bollar, James Laurinaitis and Jason Smith.
Kyle Bollar replaced Mark Bolger as quarterback, and did a great job during the preseason. His quarterback rating at the moment is 78.3 and improving.
James Laurinaitis has the second most tackles in the pre-season. He is the new starting middle line backer.
Jason Smith is the second player selected in the draft last year. There are high expectations for him to replace Orlando Pace.
Orlando Pace and Tory Holt were released and traded because the Rams did not want to pay their salaries. These are very large loses for the team.
The Rams second round draft pick for last year was Adam Carriker. Carriker injured his shoulder during the last pre season game; he will be out for the year. This is a big blow to a weak defense; The Rams could go two and 14 again.
It could be a tough season for the Rams.
