Obama Announces Support for Same-Sex Marriage

President Barack Obama has announced that he openly supports same-sex marriage, the first U.S. President to do so.

In ‘The Daily Rundown’ editor Gabe Fleisher said, “This isn’t just big political news. It’s historic.”

Obama felt it was necessary to announce his beliefs.

“I decided it was time to affirm my personal belief that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry,” Obama announced in a e mail message to his campaign supporters. “…I believe that in the eyes of the law, all Americans should be treated equally.”
