Journalism Editors Take Home Prizes

Last night, on May 20th, Clayton High School hosted its annual student awards ceremony.  Several students from the Yearbook Staff, Globe Staff, GNN and GET were awarded for their work.  For instance, Globe Co-Editor in Chief Meredith McMahon won the Nancy Freeman Journalist of the Year award.  Journalism advisor Erin Castellano praised McMahon for her dedication to the Globe staff and her leadership.  Both Nina Murov and Chelsea Lovelace received the Freeman Journalist of the Year for their work with Greyhound Exclusive Television.  In addition, Marin Garavalia received the Nancy Freeman Journalist of the year for her leadership of the Yearbook Staff. Congratulations to all the Clayton students who received recognition for their dedication to journalism and design.

Additional honorees in the Outstanding Journalist category included Globe Senior Managing Editor Eudora Olsen, Photo Editor William Wysession and Webmaster Dan Zeng. GNN seniors Emily Longman and Dominick Randle and Yearbook Seniors Meg Sutter, Ali Hunter and Jack Wei.
