Computers.  Cellphones.  Televisions.  In the past decade, electronics have become the new form of entertainment, stealing the spotlight from activities such as board games, card games, and  puzzles.  While we often tend to forget about these non-electronic games, they are still very important and engaging ways to have fun.

Puzzles, while they may seem boring to some people, actually stimulate your mind, causing you to focus and think.  At the same time, doing a puzzle is a very relaxing activity and often has no time limit.

Growing up in a time period of technology, many high schoolers our age often forget about things like puzzles.  Part of the reason for this is because we do not have time for them.  With things like sports,  homework and music lessons, we do not even have time for sleep, much less something like a board game.

Despite this lack of time we have, it is very important to every once in a while close the computer screen.  Puzzles will not become extinct because they are a timeless activity that just needs more recognition by students at CHS.

So the next time you have an hour or two of free time, turn off your phone and dump out a puzzle.  You might be surprised at how much you actually enjoy it.
