Hounds beat rival Ladue in thriller

GLOBE COURTREPORT

The Hounds beat Ladue last night 49-44 in a thrilling win between the two rivals.

Self proclaimed “number-one fan” junior Sam Fox shared his comments on the game.  Fox goes to every game and stays from warm-ups until the team leaves the floor.

“Although it was a low scoring game, it was a hard fought battle between the two teams,” Fox said.  “It was back and fourh until the end. Not many people know this, but we didn’t have the lead until the fourth quarter.”

In addition to great fourth quarter defense, the crowd’s energy pushed the Hounds to victory.  Fox commented on how meaningful this game was, in addition to being a rivalry game.

“This win really gives us the upperhand on conference championship,” Fox said.  “So hopefully the next two games go well, and we get the trophy.”
