GLOBE RACKETREPORT
The CHS boys’ tennis team has high expectations for this year and started on a path to fulfilling their state aspirations this past Friday with a convincing win over rival John Burroughs.
The Hounds won nine of 11 matches over Burroughs, traditionally a very strong team. Junior Dylan Schultz rejoined the tennis team this year after taking a year off to play baseball. Schultz said Burroughs had a “strong team” from top to bottom and they “fought hard.”
“We were pleased with the win because Burroughs is a team that we will have to beat to move on to state (as a team),” Schultz said. “It’s great to start the season on a positive note.”
The Hounds have a match tomorrow at home versus Kirkwood, another early season challenge.
