World Series Predictions

Before the 2011 playoffs, David Freese was merely an average third baseman. Now, because of his heroics in the playoffs last year, he is immortalized in baseball history.

Who will amaze in this World Series? The Detroit Tigers, led by tripple crown winner Miguel Cabrera, take on the San Francisco Giants, led by MVP candidate Buster Posey.

The Tigers swept the New York Yankees for a playoff birth, while the Giants outlasted the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games. The series is set to begin Wednesday in San Francisco.

Prediction:

Tigers win in five games. After winning one game in San Francisco, they will win all three in Detroit.

World Series MVP: Miguel Cabrera, who will continue his dominance.

The last time the Tigers went to the World Series was in 2006, where they lost to the Cardinals. Now, however, a better, more experienced team will defeat their National League counterpart. This year will indeed be the year of the Tigers.
