Mock Trial Team Wins State, Advances to Nationals

The CHS Mock Trial team has won state, defeating St. Louis University High School for their title. The team will advance to the national competition, which will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The team has a strong core of three seniors: Alex Meneses, Ian Tarr and Emma Riley. The team also included junior Arya Yadama, sophomores Jeffrey Cheng, Rachel Bluestone, Nathan Jarvis, Jake Tarr and freshman Omkar Venkatesh. It was coached by speech and debate coach Justin Seiwell, lawyer Michael Wetmore (lawyer coach) and Karen Wetmore. The team finished second in state in 2012.
