What do you like about working for Globe? My favorite part about working on the Globe is being able to utilize creativity and curiosity to shed light on issues that matter. Having difficult conversations about taboo topics can seem daunting, but the Globe allows for a platform to have those thoughts and ideas, and examine it through the lens of a journalist.
Alex Cohen, Editor-in-Chief
Alex Cohen is a senior and this is her fourth year on Globe. She joined Globe because her 8th-grade English teacher handed her a copy of the Globe and told her to try it out. This year she is looking forward to her last year of high school and spending time with friends. Her extracurriculars include swim team, water polo and best buddies club. She also loves baking, reading and spending time with her dog, Colby Jack.
Kipp Vitsky, Editor-in-Chief
Kipp Vitsky is a senior. During his sophomore year, he made the impulsive decision to join his school’s introductory school newspaper class. He had no prior journalistic experience, nor any intention of ever becoming an editor, let alone Editor-in-chief. By taking that risk two years ago, not only did he discover an extremely tight-knit community within CHS, but he has come to deeply cherish writing stories that make a difference in his community. This year, he is proud to be leading such a passionate group of students and he looks forward to seeing more stories that make him proud. Outside of the Globe, Kipp is a tutor at the International Institute, an Executive Officer of Clayton’s All-in Coalition, the Senior Class President, and a professional host and box-folder at Dewey’s Pizza.
JiaLi Deck, Editor-in-Chief

She is immensely proud to get to lead of such a fantastic publication and she hopes to continue Globe’s important mission in her final year on staff.
In addition to Globe, JiaLi participates in Speech & Debate and is a 1st company member of the pre-professional dance division at COCA. She is also a commission graphic artist who designs T-Shirts, logos, and other digital projects.
