AP English Language and Composition
AP English Language and Composition is a class taught only to seniors, and it’s a place for students to develop their repertoire of critical reading skills and enrich their content knowledge through an examination of nonfiction texts. The course emphasizes analytical and argumentative writing styles, and the curriculum differs from many of the English classes taught in prior years.
“I chose [AP] Lang because it focuses more on composition. It’s a lot faster-paced in terms of composition due dates than other English classes, but it’s been helpful to improve my ability to produce quality writing in short time periods. It’s made me more confident in writing my college essays and helped me carry [on] conversations with friends and family since I started taking the class.”
