Remembering MLK

Today marks the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. King was killed in a Memphis hotel on April 4, 1968.

He is probably the most well known Civil Rights activist in American history, not to mention the most influential. King paved the way for many Americans and his legacy is still impacting the lives of people to this day.

If it was not for King, all of our lives, no matter what race, would be very different. The nation must make sure to take a moment to celebrate the great man, and mourn the fact that he was taken away from us too soon.
