NaNoWriMo Approaches

As November is just around the corner, everyone is getting excited about the “No Shave November”. However, a much more fulfilling challege is also around the corner: the annual NaNoWriMo.

The National Novel Writing Month, NaNoWriMo for short, begins at exactly midnight on November 1 and ends at midnight on November 30. In those 30 days, the challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel.

Who would ever want to participate in this event? Last year, there were over 250,000 writers who participated, including two thousand K-12 Students, and gathering up over three billion words total.

Either to improve your writing skills, to simply see if you can an entire novel in one month, or to communicate with other writers through a large forum, there is no reason not to go to http://www.nanowrimo.org/en right now, and try it.

Are you up to the real challenge this month?
