A giant swordfish on the wall welcomes you at Gringo as does the smell of soft corn taco shells. The decor is mellow yet festive. Maybe this here: An electronic candle glowed in a mason jar on the table. (And a mention to the blue chairs)
The menu boasts a tantalizing array of tacos, tortas, dips and more. What did you order? What kind of food are they known for? Where is the restaurant located? When did it open, etc? The waitress was enthusiastic and friendly.
The food came, but it tasted a little strange. The food was good, but something about it was slightly off. I can’t place exactly what is was, but I didn’t feel quite so satisfied leaving.
The customer service and the ambiance were phenomenal and I expected the food to match, but it didn’t hit the mark. I still had a great night at Gringo and I think it would be a fun place to hang out with friends, but I don’t think I’ll be going for the food.
