After recently watching the GET feature about Mr. Kleinberg’s old boy band, it has come to many CHS students’ attention that teachers actually do have lives outside of school.

Just like many teachers sometimes forget that students have lives outside of school, we sometimes forget that they do interesting things outside of school too.

Whether it is collecting used lottery tickets, playing golf or participating in a competitive baseball team, the three teachers who we interviewed for this story had many diverse and interesting things that they did outside of school. Here is a look in the lives of various teachers.

History Teacher, Kurtis Werner:

Werner enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife, Rachel and his two cats Linus and Lucy, and my black and tan coonhound named Schroeder. During his free time, Werner enjoys collecting used lotto tickets and participating in other free promotional opportunities. “I have won numerous items from these contests including batting practice at Busch Stadium, a pop-a-shot basketball machine, Shutterfly photo books, a Bose stereo system and an iPad Mini.”

Math Teacher, Chris Moody

Moody Spends most of his time at school grading papers and checking emails. When he isn’t at school he is at home in St. Charles with his wife and cats. During his free time, Moody Enjoys using his grill and cooking, and watching the hundreds of shows recorded on his DVR with his wife.  During the summer Moody enjoys traveling, and in the past he has been to Hawaii, California and Europe. In the summer, various home projects are being done, and he and his wife maintain a garden.

Psychology Teacher, David Aiello

Aiello is always busy at home with his three daughters, all playing club soccer. By himself, he enjoys playing in a competitive baseball mens league. Aiello also enjoys doing home projects, “I like to give a break to the mental side of my brain, and exercise the physical side.” Says Aiello.  In the summer he enjoys reading books, and traveling with his wife, a nurse, and his daughters. In the past he has been to Yellowstone, and places in Florida.
