“I never thought I would be teaching Chinese, but I love studying the language. I feel very lucky that I get to keep the language as such a part of my life and help other people, help kids, get introduced to the language and get exposed to it and learn about it. I love Chinese history, current events and culture. I feel very fortunate. It’s also cool because, nobody takes Chinese by accident. So, almost everybody who signs up for Chinese class has a genuine interest in it. So almost every student in class really enjoys learning it and that’s great to get to work with that kind of student who’s there just because they’re interested in it.”
