Miley Cyrus

She’s the chick that rocked the kicks, partied in the USA, can’t be tamed, and came in like a wrecking ball. Miley Cyrus has become the talk amongst many Americans lately and it all started with chopping off her beautiful brown locks, then came the change in wardrobe, and lastly the videos for “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball.”
Her recent “Wrecking Ball” video has sparked controversial discussions about her image. People believe that her clothing and suggestive dances are extremely inappropriate. While I agree she could have chosen other methods of expression to compliment her lyrics, she uses her dancing to express herself.
But despite her physical change, she’s still the same person she was before. Cyrus is trying to mature, and in that, she has managed to stray from Hannah Montana.
Cyrus has been disparaged for her promiscuity, however she is not the only celebrity who has experienced with promiscuous lyrics and dance moves. Many American singers and songwriters include suggestive languages and topics in their mediums.
Her music is simply a way of expressing herself and turning into an adult.
The main reason people are targeting Cyrus instead of other celebrities is because of the Hannah Montana shadow lurking from her past. Because of this, many young children have been exposed to Cyrus. She has been a role model for kids around the globe, but who says she has to be a role model? There is nothing saying that she needs to continue role model behavior.
If people have a problem with Cyrus’s looks and actions, then why don’t they have a problem with the majority of performers?
