Erin Sucher-O'Grady, Adviser
Erin Sucher-O'Grady has served as the adviser of the award-winning Globe newsmagazine and its online version, chsglobe.com, since 2011. Her work has earned her the Missouri Journalism Education Association's Missouri Journalism Teacher of the Year award in 2017, and in 2015 she was named a National Scholastic Press Association Rising Star. While serving as adviser, the Globe and chsglobe.com have earned numerous National Scholastic Press Association Pacemakers, Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Crowns, three Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Awards, and two NSPA Brasler Prizes.
Erin holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Journalism, a Master of Arts in Teaching Communications Arts from Webster University, a Master of Arts in American Culture Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Washington University in St. Louis for Liberal Arts and Sciences. She also holds a Master Journalism Educator certificate from the national Journalism Education Association.
