Crowd plays part in win over rival Ladue

GLOBE COURTREPORT

The Clayton Crazies had a huge turnout last night as the Hounds beat Ladue in a close-one.

Self proclaimed “number-one fan” junior Sam Fox shared his comments on the game.  Fox goes to every game and stays from warm-ups until the team leaves the floor.

“I respect all of the Clayton Crazies that showed up to the game,” Fox said. “Last night after the game, Christian (Thomas) specifically told me ‘we need that many fans at every game.'”

The unique Washington University venue allowed freshman student and 2010 CHS alum Gus Heil to attend the game.  He enjoyed the game and also mentioned that he was happy to see Assistant Athletic Director Lee Laskowski and School Resource Officer John Zlatic.

“The atmosphere went from vibrant to venomous when Christian Thomas dunked on them,” Heil said.

All agree that the Hounds benefited from such a big fan base last night.
