Rams Renovations

On May 14 the plans were released on the updates done hopefully to the Edward Jones Dome. These updates would supposedly put it on a high ranking status. And make it one of the best domes in the NFL.

To achieve this high ranking status, there would be many things added to the dome. For instance, they would add natural lighting, and extra seating in the hopes of hosting a Super Bowl Game.

Although this is a wonderful idea, to put money into building St. Louis, they are many setbacks. One of the major setbacks in that this dome is that it is projected to cost from 500-750 million years. This is a pretty penny for a NFL team that is ranked by ESPN 29th out of 32 teams.

Although the cost of the renovations would maybe paid off with the help of the city, the city Mayor is not in support. Jeff Rainford, who is the chief of staff for the Mayor, openly rejected the plan due to the price that tax payers would be saddled with.

What makes this proposal more interesting is that the Edward Jones Dome which opened in 1995 still has not been paid off. This is then why so many people doubt the practicality of remodeling the Edward Jones Dome.

These renovation and their denial or approval, will test St. Louis on their attachment and love for the St. Louis Rams.
