Shaun White, 2 time Olympic gold medalist, holds the x-games record for gold medals, and has won 10 ESPY awards. This is a huge accomplishment for White, making him as well known as he is today.

But are you still going to be able to recognize him now? Just recently White cut his well known hair. Now resulting to a simple style, that will make him harder to recognize with his snowboarding helmet on. White wanted to change his hair, to donate it to a charity called “Locks of Love” where you can donate your hair for kids with cancer.

White was also not able to participate in the X-games this winter, wanting to save all of his skills for the Olympics, in Sochi, Russia. This year in the Olympics, he will be participating in the Halfpipe event. Unfortunately, White backed out of participating in the new event Slopestyle. He feels as if the slopes are dangerous, and he only wants to focus on the Halfpipe event this year.

This years’ Olympics will be a new start for White, with a new hairdo, and the event we all know, and support.
