Host (Owen Maddox): What’s up, guys? Welcome back to another podcast, “Rapid Fire.” I’m your host, Owen Maddox, and today we have a very special guest, Khalifa. Khalifa, how you doing?
Khalifa: Good. You?
Host: I’m pretty good. How’d you feel when I asked you to be on this podcast?
Khalifa: Pretty excited. Pretty excited. Yeah, happy to be on here.
Host: That’s pretty cool. Is this the first podcast you’ve ever been on?
Khalifa: No, I guess.
Host: Oh, that’s pretty interesting. All right. Well, now let’s get into some rapid-fire questions. All right. So, what’s your favorite food?
Khalifa: Probably sushi.
Host: What’s your favorite role or something?
Khalifa: Probably like a tuna roll. Yeah.
Host: Well, that is extremely cool. And with that, what are your top three places to eat?
Khalifa: Like, just in St. Louis?
Host: Anywhere. Just the top three in general.
Khalifa: Probably like Sushi Tatsumi 3 in New York, and then Sushi Ai, and then probably Wasabi.
Host: Oh, that’s pretty tough. All right, what’s your favorite sports team?
Khalifa: Tottenham Hotspur. They’re in London.
Host: And what sport is that?
Khalifa: Soccer.
Host: Soccer. Ooh, you’re a soccer fan?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: Who’s your favorite player?
Khalifa: Probably Heung-min Son.
Host: Who’s the goat, Ronaldo or Messi?
Khalifa: Ronaldo.
Host: I like that. Good answer. All right, what’s your biggest sports hot take?
Khalifa: Ronaldo is better than Messi.
Host: That’s a great take. I feel like that’s a cold take because he clearly is. Next. What college do you want to go to?
Khalifa: I don’t know yet. That’s in the future.
Host: It’s in the future. All right.
Khalifa: I’m in the present.
Host: What’s your biggest accomplishment in life?
Khalifa: Probably just being here right now with everyone.
Host: That’s pretty tough.
Khalifa: The gift of life.
Host: Yeah. Who’s your all-time favorite coach or teammate that you’ve had, if you played any active sports or anything?
Khalifa: Probably like Arjune Nath.
Host: Ooh, I know Arjune Nath is a baller.
Khalifa: He’s a pretty cool dude.
Host: Yeah, I heard he’s a baller. Is he like…
Khalifa: He’s really good at basketball.
Host: Yeah, I heard he’s like ranked in the school, bro.
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: He’s pretty crazy. You know, gaming and all these kids like to play video games. What’s your favorite video game?
Khalifa: Minecraft, bro.
Host: Oh, what do you do on Minecraft?
Khalifa: Build villages and get diamonds.
Host: Have you ever beaten the game? Ender Dragon?
Khalifa: Not yet. Maybe do that today, actually.
Host: Oh, yeah? See, Minecraft isn’t a kids’ game, and aren’t you 14 in high school?
Khalifa: I’m 14.
Host: Oh, okay, so I guess that justifies it.
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: What’s your dream job?
Khalifa: My dream job, probably in the art world, being like an art collector or artist, maybe.
Host: I heard your mother was an artist. Is that true?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: I heard she has very cool art.
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: Are you scared of a job application?
Khalifa: Job application? No.
Host: Are you sure?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: I feel like I’ve heard you say it before. What’s one job that you would never do even if you had amazing pay?
Khalifa: Clean the sewers. Like all that poop.
Host: Oh, yeah, I’m with that. What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Khalifa: My phone.
Host: And why’s that
Khalifa: Big money deals.
Host: Oh, yeah? You do big money deals on there?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: Do you play any fantasy football or soccer, or anything like that?
Khalifa: Fantasy soccer.
Host: Who’s your—you winning right now? Are you doing well?
Khalifa: I think I’m like in fifth.
Host: Oh, why, you suck? I’m trolling. No, I’m not, I’m joking. That was so funny, wasn’t it?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: Yeah. What’s the best advice you’ve received or heard?
Khalifa: “Big money never comes clean.” That’s the only thing I can think of.
Host: Okay. I can tell you don’t live without your phone. If you had an infinite amount of money, what’s the first thing you’d buy?
Khalifa: I would probably just help my family.
Host: Yeah?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: Have you heard the meme that’s going around, “Please, Speed, I need this”?
Khalifa: Who, me nuts?
Host: What?
Khalifa: Me nuts?
Host: All right, never mind. You heard the meme that’s been going around?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: What’s the meme?
Khalifa: “Speed, I need this.”
Host: Would you like to repeat it?
Khalifa: No, no.
Host: Are you sure? Okay, just make sure, are you sure?
Khalifa: Yeah.
Host: 100%?
Khalifa: 1,000%.
Host: All right. And to end this off, who made a difference in your life?
Khalifa: Probably my mom.
Host: How’d she make a difference?
Khalifa: She shaped me to who I am right now. It’s like I want to be an artist.
Host: That is extremely inspirational, Khalifa.
Khalifa: Thank you.
Host: All right. Well, that’s it for our difference makers. I’m your host, Owen Maddox. This is Khalifa. See you in the next one.
